The Course

“The chief object of every golf architect or greenkeeper worth his salt is to imitate the beauties of nature so closely as to make his work indistinguishable from nature itself.”

Sean Tully
Golf Course Superintendent

This quote from Alister MacKenzie exemplifies our goal at Meadow Club. We strive to provide a great golfing experience in harmony with the open, natural beauty of the Bon Tempe meadow, situated beneath Mt. Tamalpais. The golf course, as designed by Alister MacKenzie and Robert Hunter in 1927, utilizes meandering creeks, subtle elevation changes, and broad vistas. Our efforts to prepare the course for play highlight these qualities with every effort to make Alister MacKenzie's first course in America enjoyable for all levels of play.
